The Midland Area Reading Council is a branch of Laubach Literacy of Canada. We began our services to our community, which includes Midland, Penetanguishene, and the surrounding areas of North Simcoe County in 1982.

We offer free, confidential tutoring to adults who want to improve their reading, writing, math or computer skills. We believe that literacy is a basic human right and that each citizen should be able to function fully and comfortably in their community. We believe in people helping themselves and each other.
